Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

Hi,

I got question for ER605.

Can the ER605 act as a VPN without needed login and password for L2TP?

what i mean is that I got wireless device and device plug on Switch LAN.

WAN vpn setup as IP 10.10.10.10 / 27

Can the device use this IP without me setting up on each device my phone the login and password for L2TP as example?

Thanks !

Perhaps you can set up a PPTP VPN on this router and the phone is also able to connect.

Tplink website has the FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/3026/

@Virgo hi,

II was hoping a way you do not need to enter login and password on each device.

before I had a Asus router where I would enter the VPN provider info and connect to the VPN and any device connected to the wifi automatically get routed to the VPN

i was. Hoping I can use the VPN function similar as my old Asus but instead of using the third party VPN, it would use the built in VPN of the Safesteam.

You can try to set the LAN-to-LAN IPsec VPN on the router firstly, and then set the policy routing on this router, and choose the VPN tunnel you just created for the WAN (it should be connected to the VPN server before the tunnel is displayed).

Once set up, all devices in the LAN will in theory be connected to the VPN by default without login and password.
