Model: TL-R600VPN
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version:

Hi there. I am using TL-R600VPN as my secondary router. I have TL-SG105E switches and TL-WA801ND and TL-WA801N APs connected to it (I am using AP as a WiFi router with a standalone SSID and not as Access Point). Once logged on the SSID network, I am able to access a login page to my APs management page by typing in the browser http://tplinkap.net. Is there any way how to prevent access to management page (perhaps black listing http://tplinkap.net to any user on the network apart from administrator)?  I would like to only access AP's either via LAN ony (by hardwired connection) or allow only administrator to have WiFi access to management page to my APs. Is there any way of creating Access Management rule on my firewall on TL-R600VPN to prevent this?

Can you please advise?

Thanks,

Jozef

Hi @terziyski, thank you for the answer in a link. So, I suppose, I then need to get Omada controller in order to manage my EAPs. Such a shame that this cannot be done on the router itself as this would make much more sense. Jozef

@Joeolymp

That's correct, but also you need EAPs (Omada APs).

Your APs are standalone devices and I think that even with controller you won't be able to achieve the desired outcome.

Check the Omada solution compatible devices.

@Joeolymp

Before the Omada series introduced, the management was messy. R600 is not Omada compatible. APs you have are not their Enterprise AP(EAP). So, agree with the above. You need to consider Omada solution
