EAP620HD US vs Canadian Firmware - Lack of releases?

Since owning 5 of the EAP 620 HD V1 devices and living in Canada, there has only ever been the initial firmware release. At the time, I naively switched to the Canadian version thinking "it's the right thing to do". What is alarming is that the US version of firmware has had multiple new features and bug fixes, with over 6 firmware updates in total.
To add insult to injury, although my devices came with US firmware out of the box, my devices will not allow you to roll back or switch to US firmware versions once using the Canadian version.
@Fae What is the actual difference in firmware version in the Canadian vs American? I thought North America shared the same standards for WiFi in terms of power outputs, channels etc. When is the Canadian version being updated? Thank you.
