Model: TL-SG3210XHP-M2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I'm a new owner of a TL-SG3210XHP-M2 for about a month now, all looked good until today the switch had to be fully powered off and back on, upon powering back up, my sfp+ ports came back on but none of my POE+ ports, that was on FW 1.0.3, tried to unplug/replugged/change ports, force interface up by CLI or GUI... to no avail...Link was always down. All seemed to be working in the last few days, but don't think I tried to fully unplugged the switch and back on, on reboot by CLI or GUI.

My OC200 and AP's are still getting POE+ power but no link on FW 1.0.3.

On FW 1.0.3 after restoring power to the switch

 Only thing that seemed to work was to restore FW 1.0.2, weird?

POE+ works on FW 1.0.2 but getting these logs repeatably, ports 6 to 8 have nothing plugged in.

I've opened a SR with TP-Link, awaiting a response.

@vGeek79

Identical for me, in the meantime I made updates to FW 1.0.3 > 1.0.6 (it was visible in the Omada Cloud mobile application).
It is not on the manufacturer's website. After reverting FW to 1.0.3 only 2x SFP+ works. A rollback to 1.0.2 got it working now also on 8x 2.5G ports ... something wrong with that soft.

On Polish (PL) site https://www.tp-link.com/pl/support/download/tl-sg3210xhp-m2/#Firmware FW 1.0.6 it's not available, i try download it from Canada (CA).

On version 1.0.2, the 3,4,5 ports do not work - they are down :) however, they work 1,2,6,7,8,9,10... interesting...

When i back to 1.0.6 i have only 1,2 (used PoE),6,7,8,9,10 2.5GbE ports up, 3,4,5 is still down (why?), and i have strange high CPU Utilization: 90%, Memory Utilization: 57%. On ports 3,4,5 i see only PoE status -They give power, but the port is down. Something is wrong.... but what?

Edit: 1h later

After a few hours, port 7 (the first one has stopped working, but there is no rule here) is down again... Attachin the device from port 7 to another working 1,2,6,8 raises the port so it is not a matter of the device connected to the port... traffic practically zero.. something is wrong with this FW or the device itself... CPU utilization waves from 1 to 90%. Any ideas? FW does not matter, downgrading to 1.0.2 does not restore the operation of port 7, but CPU utilization has dropped significantly - at 28%.
The first time I restored all ports to work by changing FW to 1.0.2 and forgetting the device from the controller, reset to the factory. I wonder if I should do it again.

Edit: 3h later

I forgot the device in the controller, did a factory reset, uploaded the latest FW 1.0.6, left only one AP EAP 660 HD connected, on the first ETH + Uplink port on SFP+ and still the same, strangely high utilization of the processor (I hope that it does not mine cryptocurrencies ;) and no link on selected ports... for now, I leave to contact someone from TP-LINK support.

Any update on this? I'm having the exact same problem after upgrading to 1.0.6 and then downgrading back to 1.0.2, except none of my ethernet ports work.

@WESPL @pgookin

On 1.0.6 the problem didn't reappear on my end, I would open a SR with TP-Link that's what I did.

[pgookin] If 2.5G port's do not work after downgrade connect via the ETH9 / 10 port (SFP +), or by USB terminal load the previous image, and then take the update to 1.0.2 (remember that you have to remove it from the controller, and Make a reset to factory settings.). For me, the ports were turned off on the current one in this order 1.0.6> 1.0.2> 1.0.3> (off ports), it helped to forget the device in the controller and re-up to 1.0.2 but already through the SFP + port.

For me, now only ports 1,2,5,7,8 work (only these are UP -But it changes randomly. PoE power works on every port. On version 1.0.6, I additionally observed that the device signals after some time a fan fault (orange lamp at the fan).

Is the CPU utilization so big in your devices?

@vGeek79 Sorry, didn't see your edits. I'm seeing the same high CPU usage and the same fan fault.

Also, I downgraded from 1.0.6 to 1.0.2 last week and my ethernet ports still don't work. I'll have to try the exact procedure you specify to see if that works for me. Thanks for experimenting and trying to find a way to make it work! I've done some experimentation, but haven't had any luck yet. If TP-Link admins are watching this thread, I would be glad to run experimental firmware to test your fixes out.

@pgookin

To me it looks more like damage to the ports than the firmware, but I will wait a while, because the support has not written me back so I do not send the equipment under warranty until I get a response from them.
