Model: EAP660 HD
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi

I just upgraded one of my 2 EAP245v3, to get wifi 6, newer product, etc, and for my surprise, I get worst internet connections, on my cell phones, on my pc, everything.

Upgraded to last firmware, nothing, beta, nothing. Reset AP, modem, check cables...

I have symmetric fiber connection 500mb/500mb, the upload, NEVER is symmetrical on phone or pc.

Sometimes I get speed test, 450/25... it's unabceptable for U$200 price.

By the way, the connection via lan is 100% perfect, with others EAP245v3, no problems.

So... any ideas?

Thanks!

@Photob

NOW:

With EAP245, 500/500... 480/480... but 519 / 21.2  is unacceptable, VERY VERY POOR performance, I don't know wich option/firmware resolve this (even ping is worse)

@Photob

Try the iperf test. That'll test the device throughput of upload/download. If you do get slow on iperf, you can contact the support team.

https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/3105/

By default, it is the upload test. Add -r after the command, which is a download test.

Something seems wrong. I have two EAP660HDV1's (also upgraded from EAP245V3's) and I get ~500-700 Mbit/sec DL & UL on my iphone 13 Pro Max (Wifi6, 5GHz, 80Mhz, 2x2, Band Steering OFF, OFDMA ON). Manually installed firmware 1.1.0. 1000/1000 fiber. So far the 660's are better in every way, for me.
