Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20210422 Rel. 39658(5553)

I am running a software controller on Windows Server and everytime I try to adopt my EAP620 the adption times out

I can see that the adoption request hits the AP but then the AP simply does not respond. I have tried factory resetting it several times without success

 

The controller server can ping the AP and I have tried disabling the firewall on the server but it makes no difference

 

I am running 5.0.30 of the controller

I've just tried resetting and adopting my eap660 and it's doing the same thing as well

look at this post, maybe there is something similar. There is a new port in omda controller 5.0.30

@shberge Thanks for the suggestion. I already had the port open on the firewall but even when I disable the Firewall completely the adoption still times out.

What controller version do you use? are the controller on same LAN that your access point or are controller remote.

 

I have some EAP620 and EAP660 HD v1 and have not this problem. they work on local controller and remote controller with the newest version 5.0.30

@shberge I'm on 5.0.30 and all my AP's are connected to the same switch as controller server. I'm not using any VLAN's and all of the devices are on the same subnet.

 

It's just really strange that the controller is able to see the AP's, I can click on adopt but then after that nothing. The page refreshes a few times and the AP's go back into pending state with the logs showing that the adopt request timed out.

yes this is pretty strange, Have you EU device? there is a new firmware to your access point. try to upgrade.

If you run controller on windows computer and firewall is not the issue, check that your network card is Private and not Public. sometime this switch to public and then computer block access.

@shberge Just checked and the NIC network is set to private. I'm using a US 620v2 and a US 660 v1 both running the latest firmware

You have a 660 hd to?, is there same problem with this access point or is the problem only 620

 

There is a version 1.0.2 to 620, and you use 1.0.1 as I can see.

I'm on 1.0.2 Build 20211025 Rel. 45439 for the 620 and 1.1.0 Build 20211027 Rel. 35153 for the 660 The timeout's are happening on both AP's
