Hello,

 

I have the following setup:

- Linux Software Controller

- EAP615-Wall(EU) v1.0 1.0.2 Build 20210823 Rel. 3585

- EAP620 HD(EU) v1.0 1.1.0 Build 20211028 Rel. 68287 (root-mesh-ap)

- EAP225-Outdoor v1.0 - latest FW ("client"-mesh)

 

This worked with controller 4.4.8

 

Now the software controller got upgraded from 4.4.8 to 5.0.30. 

The Mesh-adoption for EAP225 Outdoor does not work anymore. Adoption works via cable - but after unplugging the cable - it will not mesh-link. 

 

Several factory resets of the EAP-225 were done - nothing helps. I also entered the default admin/admin credentials when asked for it. Nothing helps. No mesh possible anymore. 

 

Is this known? What else can I do?

fixing the 5g band to the first one did not help, thanks for the idea. 

 

I was fed up and shutdown and re-started everything - that did it. 

 

Well - I believed that choosing the business line of products would avoid the "have you tried turning it off and on" stuff - but this seems to the way to go.

You can try to fix the 5G of EAP620 HD in band 1, then reset your EAP225-Outdoor, put it next to the controller and see if it will show up in the controller interface as wireless, if it will then click adopt.

@Yannie What do you mean by "Fix the 5G" ?

And: it does show up - but adoption fails

@wuppi like this, fix the 5G channel in band1, don't select auto.when you fail to adopt it,any error message ?
