@Jeesoon1 TL-POE4824G is 48V, EAP 225-outdoor v1 includes 24V injector, I think TL-POE2412G is the one which is part of the package. As far as I can see, eap225-outdoor v1 supports: 802.3af & 24V Passive PoE, but not 48V according to documentation, I hope it is not bricked, but you should use 24V passive PoE or buy simply cheap PoE switch with 802.3af/at support.

@btx Yes, it does come with its own PoE adaptor but i have lots of PoE Adaptor from different TPLink and plug it as if it's compatible, i think its brick wont turn on, no lights. anyway. does any TPLink PoE Switch that 802.3af can power the EAP225-Outdoor ? i hate using poe adaptor. :D

@Jeesoon1 yes, eap225-outdoor works with poe switch, I use them actually only via poe switch, without adapter, I am using adapters/splitters only for devices which do not have support for poe.

According to documentation eap225 uses 9W, meaning that 60W powered cheapest tplink poe switch can supply 4 eap225 without any issues. I am using 24port poe+ switch, but some people like to group in different devices making it easier to restart grouped devices, where in case of omada controller you can anyway group and restart, but for those running it in standalone mode it is usefull.

No lights does not have to mean it is broken, maybe lights are simply off, if you reset your eap225 to factory defaults and connect it with original poe injector or poe capable switch, if no leds on lan ports blink then and you are sure your lan cable is ok, then I guess it is broken.

I would still wonder if connecting to 48V indeed breaks device. With switch, mode is  first negotiated, I have no clue how passive injectors which are delivered work in detail, at least I think those are passive. Anyway, if your device is broken then contact tplink support, I also have no clue if it is part of warranty if you burned it down with 48V but on other side it would be bad for tplink if their business line products break with eap devices as injectors, as I am using switch, I did not test it, but I have used combinations of eap245 and eap225 where indeed, different voltage of adapters and same color can lead to a mistake connecting the wrong one.

I for myself buy tp-link products since almost their first products, in so many years I have not seen 1 broken device, be it router cam or switch, I managed to brick one re450 with bad soldering of serial pins, thats all

@btx yeah i tried resetting the eap225-outdoor but with no luck, the poe injector make a weird beep sound when i plug it and the led of injector turn off when i also plug it so i think it's broken. any way does the TL-SG3252P support EAP 225-outdoor ? Thanks

@Jeesoon1 If you can see LED's blinking on your switch, then it is probably not dead, if you have no luck, contact tp-link support or retailer who sold you this device.

Yes, TL-POE4824G for sure is a lot more than :) you need for one device, it is very good device. One of cheapest working would be TL-SG1005P, If you do use omada controller, then take a look at switches compatibility list (click on show all to see all) as those are compatible with omada controller.

Any 802.11af/at switch should work, 802.11af gives enough power, up to 15.4W which is enough for eap225-outdoor, SG1005P can easily provide more than enough power for 4 eap's (it suppots poe+ too)

Hope that helps
