Hi,

 

I have my Synology NAS connected with two cables using LACP. Additionally, I have two network interfaces enabled on NAS so that NAS is seen in 2 separate VLANs and has two separate IPs.

 

I noticed that NAS had transferred 64TB of data overnight when reviewing client statistics. Which is obviously wrong. It is NAS for home, and there was no traffic at night. It is also impossible when looking at max speeds.

 

I found an older thread where this issue was addressed as an error in OC200 firmware. But it seems that the update didn't fix it for this scenario (Link aggregation, etc.).

May I know the specific topology of your all devices?

In particular, where exactly in the network is your NAS located?

I feel a bit confused by your description. You mean you have two NICs, why do you need LACP if you want the NAS to work in two separate VLANs?
Because LACP in layman's terms means aggregating two ports into one, how can the NAS be seen in both VLANs when it is aggregated into one port?
In fact, what are your specific application requirements for this NAS?

LACP is used so that I have a higher transfer speed and can do a full-speed copy from 2 PCs at the same time.

NAS can be seen on 2 separate VLANs because it has 2 logical network interfaces (it is Linux based so it is easy to do). NAS is VLAN aware so it knows how to treat packets that are tagged. This way NAS has 2 IP addresses. One for each VLAN.
