@Fabfab74 On the WAN settings, in normal case we don't need to set up Static IP. Most of the ISP use Dynamic IP or PPPoE. You will need to check it with your ISP. Just make sure the router WAN port is connected to the Modem. A guide: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1556/

@Fabfab74 You may check the static IP settings with a computer. For example you can connect a PC to the Modem directly and setup the static IP on this PC, and verify if you can get Internet with this IP

@Fabfab74 Try dynamic IP on the tplink router WAN settings. It seems that your Modem is actually a modem router 2-in-1 device. The modem should be able to release IP to the tplink router by it's DHCP. The static IP is on your Modem Router's WAN side, so we don't need to care about it
