nah i do know some security vendors which do so... sophos, fortinet... the reason is quite simple... as a manufacturer you have to deal with the chip market... i know this because i was working at a network security vendor... while and after covid it was getting worse. for example... aruba (hp) had issues to deliver switches and customers had to wait about 18 month and some products were canceled in this time.

am I pathetic because I bought 35 eap620v1 access points? I can create a theme of course, but what's the difference? all the same people are sitting there, both from the users and the administration. last year I switched to another manufacturer. I want as many people as possible to know tplink's attitude towards their customers. I may be in the red at the same time in all directions, but people need to know. By the way, in addition to 620, there are 265 and 670 points. and during that period, no stability was noticed. yes, they work, somehow they work, nothing more. about covid, you're off topic, it's one thing they can't produce a product, and it's quite another to darn v1 v2 v3 v5 v25 one after another... who prevents them from developing firmware for their own hardware? cowid? supply chains? What kind of nonsense am I hearing? they just rivet their crafts in pursuit of profit. You mentioned sophos and fortinet, these companies are just developing software for their devices, not as an example, much more often. at least once a month (not once a year like tplink) and moreover, they upload their programs for general use, to deploy them on their hardware. TP link to them as to the moon

again, if there are any issues with your access points, please open a new topic which is related to this issue, it does not make sense to complain in a DNS Thread about the Access Points. I am running 620v2 APs and they are working fine... thats what I expected. I had an issue with the DHCP Server some month ago and the support is quite good and fast. As you can see there are different views regarding TP Link, and i know how the old TP Link hardware some years ago and now with omada they learned l lot. I do not say that everything is perfect. But the price and value output is unbeatable. An advantage is that you can still manage really old access points. But again, i don't want to discuss this here. I want to keep the topic clean so this will be my last post off topic. Hope you understand this. Thank you.

Is there a way to forward the DHCP/DDNS updated to a remote Pi-Hole server?

Absolutely necessary. Recently upgraded entire network to Omada and can't believe we now have less functionality/capability. Been trying to work with tech support and they don't seem to understand the importance. Currently have a local DNS server that VLANS can't seem to "see" in the Omada topography.

@hammer86

How many more years will it take for you to implement such a basic functionality that all your competitors have already included in their first firmware updates?

Actually, it shouldn't even be considered a feature but a bug that you simply refuse to fix.

Your devices are not even cheap. I spent a good amount to buy it, just to find out later that maybe even an unbranded device from China doesn't have this bug.

It's a shame. This ticket, dated 2022-04-02, is nearly two years old. In few days, we'll be marking its 2-year anniversary... We'll be celebrating @hammer86's ticket with 🎈 balloons, 🎂 cake, 🍬 candies, and 🎁 gifts emojis.
