Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 5.0.7

Hi all,

i replaced my home/office network with a complete Omada setup.

Fritzbox - Used as modem

Omada Controller OC200

ER605 - Gateway currently no firewall settings - 2.0/2.0.1

TL-SG2008P - Switch currently no special config - 3.0/3.0.0

3x EAP 225 - 4.0/5.0.7

Each EAP is in an different floor in the house.

2G channels are 1,6 and 11

5G channels 36,40 and 48

First i set up 2G and 5G within one SSID, then i split to two SSID (with no effect to the issue)

Issue:

If i connect via Mobile Phone (tested with Samsung Note 20, Samsung S20, Iphone 8) and open a browser page or social media (or whatever needs network connection) it took around 10-30 seconds to get a internet connection.

It feels like the network need to wake up and took time.

Within this connection phase you can check on the phone the wifi connection and you see some times "no internet connection" as response on the settings menu.

If you use e.g. a fire stick or a laptop - It is working fine without interruptions (Maybe you do not see the first seconds, covered due to login on laptop)

Sometimes if you wait a litte, the game starts again, you see the exclamation mark - Waiting time - Then it works.

Anyone have a tip, what could be the issue?

Is it possible in the SDN to get a full log of a clients wifi activity?

After more tests i think he is stuck after switching from one EAP225 to another.
