Model: TL-SG3210XHP-M2
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.6

I can access via console, and gui once I change my ip on my computer to 192.168.0.2.

I have no activity lights for LAN. But do have orange activity light for port 1(my pc) and green lights for port 2, with poe light under(AP). No ping within web gui.

These are in console when booting up.

And then the other odd issue I am having, is that it will not boot when a Ethernet is ran from the Spectrum modem. It will sit forever with PWR lit, and fan at MAX. Below is the error I get in console, the last 10 characters or so was when I unplugged and then had a successful boot. I also had this issue with the last one I just RMA'd, but just figured out the cause. I have everything plugged in to a UPS with simulated sine wave, so shouldn't be power issues. I cannot access console. It boots with my PC Ethernet plugged in by it self. Everything works great on asus router. Tried different cables, bypassed ups.

EDIT: The power issue is apparently a fail safe when the incoming data is not correct.

Any ideas? I am at a loss!

Based on the error message you provided, there may be the IP confilct in your network.

This switch's default IP is 192.168.0.1, if your router's LAN is the same, then it will be not work.

You need to change the IP to another one.

Which section should I change it? I am not able to access the modem gui.

I changed ipv4 range, and vlan range to start at 192.168.0.3 with no luck.

What kind of modem is it? Is it just a modem or a modem-router combo? There needs to be a router in the setup for that to work.

Spectrum D3.1 eMTA DOCSIS 3.1 Advanced Voice Modem

It really can't work without a router combo? That blows, Any cheap 2 port ones?

I would keep the modem and buy a router. If you do not have any special requirments, any Internet (NAT) router will do. It does not have to have WiFi. Or, you can get a cheap WiFi router and disable WiFi on it. That's actually what I did. I use an old ASUS router with WiFi disabled.  Having a switch like that, you'll be better off geting an AP for WiFi.

I think I am going to buy a mini PC with dual 2.5gbe for pfsense!! A lot more power and potential on a 11th gen Intel than any name brand routers, less bloat and features I don't want.

Thanks for letting me know, had no idea the switch didn't have routing capabilities.

No, this is a routing switch, but it is not a NATting device. The switch can do inter-VLAN routing, but it can not do NAT which is needed when interfacing with Internet. pfSense is a very capable firewall and certainly will do the job. However, if you are thinking about VLANs, you will need to make a decision where to do inter-VLAN routing, on the switch or on the pfSense box. Whatever the decision you make, you'll find that one of those two devices will be under utilized. I had a pfSense box, but I replaced it with a simpler box, because I decided to do inter-VLAN routing on the switch. It works faster and it makes the local network independent from the Internet gateway. Of course, pfSense offers lot more than inter-VLAN routing, but if you use that additional functionality, it will come at the price of slower speed.

Thanks for helping out Kris.

I'll probably be keeping pfsense simple to get maximum speed and firewall. Then use the tp link switch for everything else, as I want to add quite a few poe devices.
