Hi. I have a EAP225-Wall and wanted to move it to a different location within my home. My problem is the CAT5 line does not passes thru my POE switch. Can I use the POE Injector included in my omada EAP225-Outdoor to suply power to the EAP225-Wall?

Hello

 

Checking online they both show as 802.3af so in theory there should not be any issue in using the POE from an outdoor unit on a wall mounted unit.

  @PiLYo1 Not really. EAP225-outdoor injector(in the EAP225-Outdoor package) is a passive PoE injector. However EAP-Wall only supports Standard PoE 802.3 af/at.

 

I will not suggest you use EAP225-Outdoor's original adapter to power on the EAP-Wall, theoretically they won't work.

 

It's better to buy a standard PoE injector, or choose a standard PoE switch for the EAP-Wall
