Hello everyone,

please excuse my bad english. :-)

I am currently planning my network.

And I would like to know if you can connect the router (TL-ER7206) to the switch (TL-SG3428XMP) via sfp.

The router  (TL-ER7206) has only SFP the switch (TL-SG3428XMP) SFP+.

Shouldn't the connection work with two 1G SFP modules?

For example with this TL-SM331T 1000BASE-T-RJ45-SFP module.

Thanks for your help.
Love greetings

  @Tpexe

Yes, you can connect them like this.

But I'm a bit confused as to why you would connect it this way.
Because the SFP port on the ER7206 is the WAN port, which means that the switch and the devices on the back end are on the WAN side of the router when connected this way.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
