TL-ER7206 SFP WAN Not working and SFP LED light for fiber connection is not indicating.
Dear Team,
Greetings,
I need your support.
The SFP WAN on my TL-ER7206 is not working, and the SFP LED light for fiber connection is not indicating. However, RJ45 WAN is working
I am using a Fiber Media Converter to RJ45 that works. But I have not been able to get SFP WAN to work.

The default SFP WAN is 1G, which requires that both the SFP module and the fiber are matched in terms of parameters.

Same problem here also.
Tested with TL-SM321B(UN) Ver 2.0 and TL-SM321B both of them are working in MC220L witch is now connected to rj45 wan of ER7206.
If i connect SFPs directly to ER7206 nothing happens??? no link?!

Please keep in mind that ER7206 has two wan ports SFP and RJ45 and SFP port is that what is not working (with SFP of course :)... Possible Hardware fault in all 1.0 devices?
My network topology is now ER7206 + TP-link media converter (MC220L ) with SFP slot, and media converter is there only because SFP WAN port is not working in ER7206.
According to TP-link documentation same SFP:s should work in both MC220L and ER7206, but no....

The normal topology should be: ER7206 SFP port -----SFP Module (TL-SM321B) -------Fibre ----ISP.
So what you are saying is that if you use it as above, the SFP port will not work properly?
But if you use ER7206 RJ45 port --- MC220L SFP port ------SFP Module (TL-SM321B) -----Fibre----ISP, this will work fine, do I understand correctly?
If so, it seems to be a negotiation problem, that is, like the first connection method, the SFP port is not negotiated with the ISP, so the link can not be established, it would be good if the settings on the SFP port could be supported.
Otherwise, you have to ask the ISP to force the speed to negotiate to 1G.

So is there any way i can see logs in ER7206 to troubleshoot? or where can i see tranceiver info data?
I have also tested configuration ER7206 SFP port -----SFP Module (TL-SM321B) --- SFP Module (TL-SM321A) ----- MC220L SFP port this is not working either? Also negotiation problem?
So i really Need info how to troubleshoot this... As far it seems my only option is to return this faulty device to local distributor... And maybe try 1.60 hardware if this problem is solved in it.
