Hello all,

 

I have an Omada network with an ER605 router, POE switch and several EAP access points which I'm managing with the Omada software controller.

 

To my total surprise I see that the ER605 DNS server is not able to resolve local host names. I searched every option in the Omada controller and I can't seem to find any option related with this. Am I missing something? I would expect that something as trivial as this to be working on such an advanced product line.

 

Would appreciate any tips.

However, there seems to be no solution. This is a very simple feature, is it not possible to be added to Omada?

Thanks. I find it very strange that a feature as simple as this is not standard in an enterprise level solution.

I'm also looking for a wish list to ask for local dns resolution for SOHO/SMBs.

 

Like I have a public domain DOMAIN.COM on internet and need a local DNS to host intranet hostnames and host a branch public resolution like COUNTRY.DOMAIN.DOM ?
