Try to only enable 5Ghz SSID on EAP225. In most of the time 2.4Ghz is not good at speed.

There is not nearly enough information here.... What client device(s)? When comparing the 2 (bgw210 and EAP225), are said client device(s) connecting to a 5ghz ssid and are both ssid using the same bandwidth (20, 40 or 80)? Is whatever device the EAP225 plugged into connected @ 1gb or is the EAP225 or the device it's plugged into reporting slower? To answer your question plainly... all things being equal, with the same client device(s), the EAP225 should do as well as the BGW210 and better once more devices connect.
