Bought an ER605 to play with.

Need help determining what the device can and cannot do:

1. Can I assign a separate lan network to each port.

Example can I configure:

port 2 as 192.168.47.0/24  with dhcp

port 4 as 192.168.40.0/24  without dhcp

I have tried this, however the device won't let me add the network unless I enable DHCP.

2. Can the device allow port forwarded traffic from the wan for only a specific range of wan IP'S?

3. Can groups of ip addresses be combined into a single named ip group?

For example, can I have 5 groups of ip's, then create a master group called (for example) "GRP_BLOCK" that

contains all the other groups, and apply the master group in a firewall rule?

I know there will be more, just struggling a bit,

Thanks in advance,

bs

  @grapes

1) yes.  When settings LANS you have to enter all the DHCP server details, but you can disable DHCP after.  Make sure each LAN has a uniquie VLAN number and assign that per port (tagged or untagged) in the VLAN section

2) You could possibly do this with ACLs but im not 100%

3) Yes you can assign IPs (and ranges too) into groups, but you cant assign groups to a group
