I've been getting "Detected Ping of Death attack. Dropped x packets."

I suspect this is causing intermittent network connectivity issues in my environment.

Restarting the router may address the issue for a bit before it happens again. I also tried powering down the cable modem hoping this would acquire a new external IP to prevent this from happening.

Any other suggestions?

@techiecheng on the newer ER7206 firmware the alert is more verbose and it seems apple devices on the LAN are responsible for the large ping attacks (if that's the same as the ping of death). I have this as well but never had an issue because of it.
