Model: ER7212PC
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.01

The hardware is nice,

The software is not working or is not communicating properly with the hardware
if I create a new subnet (completely different from the default lan) under lan and set it to port 8, I just keep getting an ip address from the default lan.... also it is impossible to change the ports of the switch auto neg and port speed

It's also not possible to change anything in the profiles (tag and untag)

Is there a work-around or updated firmware otherwise this hardware go return to the shop :-(

  @rob4999

Unfortunately, you will need to add a managed switch, to get the new subnet to normal devices.

Hi, I am testing the ER7212PC at the moment and I did notice the same behaviour. It's not possible to set a PVID on the ports. So, basically the ports are trunk ports. I can understand the ER7212PC is not a full blown switch. Although it would be nice to be able to set a PVID on the ports. I will use the ports for access points. I think that's the purpose? Besides the latter I would use one of the SFP ports to connect a switch - and use that switch to connect the various clients.

It's a shame that it only works as trunkports.

Maybe it's something they can add as a feature? Do you guys know if we can send in some featurerequests?

Hi JDane, This is good news, especially for new customers who want to purchase a very complete router. I have already sent the router back to the supplier 2 weeks ago :-(

  @JDane Good to hear, yes there is a feature request here for this to be added.  I suspected that this was coming soon, since I got a system message saying this request has been designated as the focal post.
