@Omadajet13 Well yes you left out a lot of information that could help someone give you a better answer. If you are running Mesh on an Omada 6xx series AP, the mesh APs have to all be on the same 5ghz channel as the root AP for the link to be transmitted, since there is only one 5ghz radio in the APs. To get around this, use wired backhaul. If you are not using mesh, turn it off.

@Omadajet13 I don't use AI Wifi Optimization, but perhaps that is the cause, do you have it turned on and scheduled?

@JoeSea no ai optimization and no schedules its only occurring on qty 2 of 5 eaps. and even if those were true, they are sitewide settings which would effect all eaps not just 2 The only difference is that the 2 that have this problem were bought at another time as the supplier kept having low stock issues. could it be a faulty batch?

now it is even more strange. although i though i was able to select the transmit channels on the other three. it seems that they all taking the lead from the master eap maybe ?.
could this be a mesh thing?

@Omadajet13
i have just done some more investigation and what i have is all 4 eaps linked to the 5th Master eap. Effectively all one hope each. With the master set as the priority Ap.
all the 4 other eaps are now greyed out on the 5gh radio selection page but the 2.4ghz page seems to be fine on all
i am now convinced it is that which is causing the problem and it must be a bug, as i previously had 5 eap 225 outdoors set up in the same configuration with no problem. and i was able to set each eap to transmit on a different 5gh channel to give me a spread. like i do on the 2.4ghz so as give less interference.
who do i report this bug to ? or is this how it is supposed to work?

@JoeSea thank you so much. Yes I realise that now. I only have the master hard wired to the router . I have no other cabled eaps. My 225's we working for years ok and I have just upgraded them all. The only other thing is I want to take ethernet off a couple of them them like I did with the previous ones, where I used the lan port from the poe injector to connect to an unmanaged 5 port switch. Would this be ok? Or I can power them via ac/DC brick and use the lan port for the same?

@Omadajet13 Yes, you can extened the network out the LAN port by using the AP as bridge too. There is no extra configuration needed. You should be able to power them either way also, and have LAN out.
