Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20221104 Rel.41500

Hello,

I have one issue with the router ER7206 v1.0, the router is installed in a live environment and unexpected restarts unfortunately very critical. Yesterday again our router has going restart without any usable information in the omada controller / email. Can you please help us what we can do here to avoid a standalone restart. It is definitely not a network interruption on the WAN port.

We have around 60 Clients connected to router and the cpu (around 20%) and memory usage (around 20%) is normal from my point of view.

Many thanks in advanced

Check for the power adapter. What is its condition? Any fray on the cable?

Hello, cable is fine, for me this is maybee an software / firmware error possibly?! This would possibly explain why the error occurs at the moment in almost 30 days intervals. But again on this issue the log is not helping there is no additional information why the router is restarting

  @Cij

The best way to get something from the Router is to Set up a Remote SysLog server.  Then link the router to it.

That will give you the best data on what's doing on.  It will show you what the error was before the reboot.

  @Cij

You wanna try the latest BETA for your 7206 to see if that helps?

 Hi @Cij

"WAN Down" on the log does not mean the router is rebooting. It shows the router is fine in local network, but it cannot get Intenret from the WAN port.

It's better to confirm with your ISP or check the connection between your modem and the router WAN port.

To prove that, you can make a continues Ping test(ping -t command) on Windows PC. Ping to the router LAN IP, and an outside IP like 8.8.8.8.

If you can ping to the router but cannot ping to 8.8.8.8, it's an evidence that you can provide to your ISP.
