WPA Authentication Timeout or Failure
I'm having issues with this EAP650 AP and IoT clients (2.4Ghz). After about a day or so these 2.4Ghz-only clients disconnect and the Omada logs are filled with "WPA Authentication Timeout or Failure". Any configuration change I make to the EAP650 results in all devices connecting again for about a day, then the cycle begins again. I have reset the device and added back to the controller but the issue keeps coming back. I also have an EAP610-Outdoor on the same controller and devices connected to it are always fine. Any ideas about this?

It looks like in order to disable PMF on all my SSID's, I'd have to get rid of WPA3 on my main networks, which is annoying. I'll wait until the next time I have this issue, and then try out of desparation, but I'm hoping that TP-Link is working on a bug fix.
To clarify on my end, my impacted clients are not iOS-related. My impacted clients are IoT 2.4 ghz devices.

@Silvaire These TP-Link guys don't seem to understand or care to understand the issue. If this was a PMF problem your IoT devices would never connect until turned off. I don't even know if TP-Link is trying to replicate this with an EAP650.
@Hank21 Have you guys tried replicating with an EAP650? Can you explain to us why IoT devices work ok initially on an EAP650 but then stop connecting after 24-48 hours? Why do other EAPs like the EAP613 and EAP610-Outdoor not have the same problem with the same settings?

While it mostly impacts my iot devices (pi, esp32, shark vacuum etc) I also have guest network that is restricted to 2.4GHz and this is impacted as well.

@Hank21 Same problem here. I've just changed my home network with a Omada solution (OC200/ER605/ 2x EAP 223/ 1x EAP 225 / 2xEAP110).
So, no EAP650 but, after a few days, all my 2..4 Ghz IoT devices are offline. I have separate Wlans (2.4 and 5 Ghz and the IoT deviced connect to 2.4Ghz Wlan).
Made all suggested changes: disabled PMF, changed the WPA mode to WPA-PSK Auto / AES and WPA2-PSK Auto /AES ... No result!
All devices (router, controller, AP's) have the latest firmware.
Any other suggestion?
Thanks

Hi @Hank21 ,
i have the same problem as @Max31
Here's my setup of my business and OMADA configuration :
2 x SSID (one 2.4GHZ for IoT et one 2.4ghz/5ghz for all other device)
2 x EAP 660HD
1 x EAP610 Outdoor
1 x ER605 v2 (No connect because i wait a special update)
1 x OC200
1x TL-SG3428XMP
2,4GHZ/5GHZ activated for my current devices
As @Max31 I tryed to let IA find the best/ I tryed to auto / I tryed manual canals and bands. Still the same
Strenght canal: Strong
I just update the firmware yesterday and restart my 2 EAP660HD et the OC200 and for te moment i don't have new alert of timeout or failure!
fingercrossing et hope the new firmware was the solution

I'm having simliar issues - I have 47 APS. A lot of association Failures.
- Fast Roaming Enabled
- AI Roaming Enabled
- Band Steering 5Ghz/6Ghz
- PMF has always been disabled
- No Changes to Beacon Control
- Latest Firmware on the devices
It seems the IOS devices have the most issues. I do have cases of Android as well.
Hoping to see some progress on this issue.

Have you checked whether the signal strength was fair enough for the devices to connect to when you found it failed? Or have you ever changed the password of the SSID which will lead to the authentication timeout for some client devices as they saved the previous password.
And we may suggest you try to confirm whether the devices you mentioned will be able to connect the SSID or not, especially in 5GHz only SSID to reduce interference from 2.4G Wifi.
