I have a question about device management function, I have tested but im not sure this work,

is this same function as unifi have? they cal it inform host.

is there requier new firmware on device to get it to work?

Hello @MR.S ,

It is used to achieve L3 Management, you can put the Controller WAN IP/Hostname into this field.

Yes, I see, but that didn't really answer my question. let's say I adopt an EAP653 for example to the controller on the same lan as the controller, then I move the EAP653 to a remote LAN, the EAP653 does not connect to the controller again so nothing is saved in the device. I either have to use the discovery tool or option 138 gets the EAP653 to connect to the controller again.
So what exactly is this function for?
