[FEATURE REQUEST]: ER8411 - add LAN LAG (Link Aggregation) feature

Hi Team, @Fae ,
Could you please tell - do you have in your roadmap a plan to add LAG to ER8411? And can this model support the LAG feature at all?
Thank you!

@Alex_UTS I have a connection from the provider via 2G optics (symmetrical DOWN/UP). I have an ER707-M2 router because it has 1 2.5G WAN port and 1 2.5G WAN/LAN port. How should I increase the transmission capacity between the switch and the router, if the router cannot do LAC on 1G LAN ports? I was also looking for an option to replace the switch, but TPLINK does not offer a switch with a 2.5G LAN port. Is there any solution? I agree with the request to include LAC on LAN ports. +1

Hi @JardaNovacek, thank you for your question. Are you using two WAN ports? 2x1Gb?

This is crucial for me for ER706W v1.0. I just found out now that it also doesn't have LAG feature. this is crucial for this gateway that has wifi built in. I wanted to LAG the 4 ports to my core switch so the devices connected to core swtich can still be accessed with a decent speed over wifi. how is that an afterthought when a gateway with built in wifi was designed ?

+1 for LAG support on ER707-M2
To the point clive was making, No one was asking for LAG support to double the link speed to a PC. I don't know why you brought that up. We are all asking for static LAG support to double the uplinks between the router and switches. Why would you have switches with LAG support but not the router? No one is using LAG for their PCs... Thats not what the standard was intended for. Link Aggregation Groups are essential for router to switch and switch to switch redundancy and failover but they also act to "load balance" the uplinks. Why have a dual 2.5g wan business class router with only 1gig uplink anyways? who made that decision? It doesn't make sense. Anyways. we are half way through 2025 and still no update. You guys must hate money if you want everyone to go to another brand... Great customer service skills btw.
