Business (or Industrial Version) of Deco Mesh System
Hi There
TP-Link site/marketing isn't that easy to follow...
I'm looking for a Business or Industrial AP that implements a mesh network as per Deco systems, and at the value end of that market. Has TP-Link produced such a product thus far?
The Deco systems work fine for how we use them with robotics in our own industrial manufacturing site; what I'm trying to find is the same capability but packaged in professional-looking housing.
All the business AP I've found seem to be only wired backbone connection?

Hello @MHMMike,
You may refer to this article to learn more details of the difference between the Omada Mesh and Deco Mesh.
To establish the Omada mesh network, you will need to connect one EAP to the router/switch via Ethernet cable, and the other EAPs will be able to wirelessly connect to each other. With the mesh network, you just need to power on the other EAPs, and they will not need to connect to the router/switch via Ethernet cable.
Please note that:
1) You will need to configure the Mesh network on the controller. So please download a software controller or purchase a hardware controller like OC200.
2) Normally, it is suggested for you to run the controller all the time. You can check more detailed information about mesh network here.
3) Here is a guide to set up mesh network.
