Built-in Radius with Android phone
Built-in Radius with Android phone
I am attempting to utilize the built in Radius on the new Omada software (running as a service on Windows), and it works great to connect a PC, but my phone won't connect, it just says authentication issue.
It's an Android (Pixel 7 Pro). I am setting it to trust cert on first use. which is what I use for my FreeRadius implementation that does work.
Any ideas?
Not sure if this is the right forum. I don't use cloud access, so I wasn't sure that this should go here, but seems the best option.

Hello @muzicman0,
What is the firmware version of your controller?
Did you use other phones connecting to the radius for testing? Does only the Android device have an authorized issue?
You may share some screenshots of radius settings and the error message " it just says authentication issue".

@Hank21 I am on Controller version 5.12.7.
The Android error is just the standard error that it can't connect. I will try some other phones in the morning, however, this one connects to Radius with no issues at my office (as well as the FreeRadius server at this site). As mentioned, I did use a PC with a successful connection.

Hi,
I am facing the same issue.
With iOS devices it is working like a charm.
I was choosing EAP-Method: PWD
Putting in credentials, but it does not connect.

I tried a second phone, with no changes. Granted, both were Pixel 7 Pro's. Both were on Android 13.

Sorry for the late reply.
Controller is the latest version 5.12.7
In fact, all of the Devices are Amazon Branded. Echo Dot, Echo Show, FireKids, ...
As mentioned, with iPhone and iPad it is working.
I decided to switch back to freeradius, which is reliably working.

Any updates on this? I installed the latest beta controller (5.13.x), and it still won't work with Android phones.
