Having intermittent wifi network connection issues on both bands. My android phone connects when it feels like it. My fire tablet and LG tv, same. My roku tv and TV provider box always connect with not any problems. My amazon firestick wont connect either. Tried all the usual restarts of all devices. Nothing works. Wifi channels are set to Auto on both bands. No metered connection entered in controller app. I get IP configuration failure on devices that cant connect but a reboot of my modem doesnt fix it. Anyone else have similar problems. Could my modem by defective in some way?

May I know whether the disconnection issue occur on the wired network either?

Have you connected a PC to the router to check the network connectivity when this issue happens?

You may change different channels and channel widths of 2.4GHz and 5GHz for testing.

  @CH_EDM Thanks for your reply. It seems to happen with wifi devices mostly. My computer will connect to the EAP-235 wall SSID but no internet, but is fine with ethernet. My LG tv wont connect to ethernet, but will connect to the EAP-235 wall wifi network "sometimes" with no internet. My firestick wont connect to either wifi or ethernet., My android phone will connect to the wifi "sometimes" with internet. Sometime come back as ip config failure. My fire tablet will "sometimes" with internet. Sometimes come back as ip config failure. I'm wondering if it may be a faulty POE switch? (TP-SG1005P). I dont think as the EAP-235 wall is on 1 line and some devices connect flawlessly, like my Living room Roku TV and my Telus TV box (Both on wifi from the AP)

My telus TV box in another room will connect with ethernet but not wifi from the EAP-235 Wall AP.

The tv box and LG tv are in the same room. If I unplug the ethernet from the tv box(which works) and plug it into my tv, it doesnt work. put it back to TV box and fine. My tv has been reset to factory defaults and still wont connect to either ethernet or wifi from EAP-235 wall AP. (Room right opposite device so very close by. Shows excellent signal strength)

Hi @CH_EDM

 

Please confirm whether the front-end modem and router are working properly, it is strongly suggested to contact your ISP to check the network connectivity.

It is hard to say where the issue is located, but we need to check the wired connection first, you can plug the PC into the switch and check the internet accessibility when the PC can not get the internet from the WiFi.

  @Hank21 The PC is connected via ethernet through the switch. Gets internet flawlessly. Speed of internet is as expected. The EAP-235 is wired to ethernet via a wall plate outlet from the POE switch and broadcasts is 2.4 and 5Mhz. bands. My Roku TV and TV box both get wifi from this EAP-235-AP. The other room that also has a wall outlet connected via the switch gives internet to my tv box via ethernet but not to my LGTV. or my firestick. MY LGTV and TV box and firestick cannot obtain internet using the 2.4 or 5Mhz from teh EAP-235. My android phone and my fire tablet can only sometimes get internet from the EAP-235. It seems like my router fails to get an IP from some of my devices. Im beginning to think that it might be faulty due to the intermittent behavior.
