In reviewing the FCC Test Results, it appears the EAP225-Outdoor is capable of Transmission Power (TX Power) approaching 30dBm when selecting some of the Higher 5GHz Channels.  See screenshot below of Page #58 in FCC Test Results (I tried to link the document but forum doesn't allow it).

 

Why don't the TP-Link Web or Omada Interfaces allow us to select higher than 22dBm (when unit is capable of hitting 29+- and the FCC Limit in the United States is 30dBm) ?

 

I would think that when I choose Channel 165 for example, it would allow me to exceed 22.

  @JohnRichardTLH I think this problem is the difference between theoretical values and actual values, which may be due to the limitation of the antenna's transmit power.

Morning @dulu,

 

That certainly could be the case, however, by everything I read in the FCC Test Results, it appears that the unit is more/than/capable of handling -30dBm.

 

I've reached out to TP-Link Support for further clarification.  I'm interested in knowing/understanding their reasons.  More importantly, I'd love to crank the power a bit more for my specific use/needs smiley
