Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Using the latest Omada v4.10.14 app, I've noticed that some of my previously stable sites are now indicating a firmware upgrade requirement for my EAP-225 outdoor units. This seems to be a bug, as upgrading would render them non-adoptable with the V3.2.12 OC200 firmware, an update that should not be suggested.

I'm uncertain whether I can update the OC200 to newer firmware, given that the EAP-225(v1) indoor units are incompatible with versions newer than V3.2.12. It's unclear if the newer OC200 firmware can work with older Omada devices. The documentation isn't explicit on this, though it hints at such compatibility issues.

Regardless, this appears to be a bug in the app. However, it would be helpful to know if I can update these old sites without having to replace the currently functioning hardware.

Yes, you're right, the EAP225 v1 is not compatible with newer controller. But if no need more features, it's not necessary to upgrade your EAP-225 outdoor to a newer firmware, in case it's incompatible with your v3 controller.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
