Problems started with upgrading 2x EAP245 v4.|

After firmware upgrade EAP's got some connection problems and keeping going down and some days nothing or booth broke connection.
After i was done with it i made backup from all settings, full backup and all.

NOW we go. reset OC200 dont get new omada update so stay's at old 5.12.9. Backup made say's even in name 5.13. SO my backup will not load on that controller,

All gone. Now we get to problem 2.

NEW firmware EAP245 v4 will not adopt in omada on my OC200 just 1. OR all go psyco.

Reboot to a all old firmware with my old backup also not will load that one,
SO what can we do now? Running windows controller. Did not buy it for a coaster.

thanks already.

Hi @JurriaanRowaan

Please install the new Beta firmware of the Windows controller v5.13.30.4, which has fixed the issue that some models’ firmware can’t be upgraded online, but only through manual upgrade. You may refer to this post for more details: Omada SDN Controller_V5.13.30.4 Beta (Released on Jan 8th, 2024)

  @Hank21

I have the same thing. I made the whole configuration on windows and the oc200 isn't the same version. What should I do next to get all stuff away from windows and have it running on my oc200.

I believe the windows version is higher and not backwards compatible. Can I downgrade the windows version without the loose anything? I know the omada team did made alot urgent fixes.

Hi @IIIdefconIII

It is recommended to back up your current settings before upgrading or downgrading the firmware. It is highly suggested to keep a backup file for every firmware version.

Upgrading the firmware will not erase all controller settings, but downgrading the firmware will do so. This is because higher firmware versions usually include new features that the older versions lack. Please note that backup files cannot be restored from a higher firmware version to a lower one.

Before your downgrade, may I ask if you still keep the original backup files so that you may restore the files after you downgrade the firmware?

It means if you wanna downgrade to v5.12 from v5.13, you need to make sure you have v5.12 or less than v5.12 backup files, because the v5.13 backup files can't be restored on a lower version v5.12 controller.

Hi @IIIdefconIII,

Do you have v5.12 or less than v5.12 backup files?
