Hi there,

I'm using the EAP245(EU) HWV3 Firmware 5.1 access point in standalone mode. It reports its device name as EAP<MAC> and I would like to be able to change that name to match the rest of my installation (other vendor network equipment). The usage of the controller is overkill for me because you don't supply a MacOs version of it (it would mean I had to have a windows computer along). I did use the software controller to change the device name only to find out that when I make the controller forget the device, the device is also reset to factory defaults.

Can you allow to change the device name in standalone mode, or is there a way that I haven't seen?

Thank you

BTW: The EAP245 was not offered in the Model dropdown list.

Hi @donnerluetjen

Thank you for your valuable feedback.
I've recorded this request and will report it to the developer team for evaluation.

I can find the EAP245 in the Model dropdown list, which list did you talk about?

I was able to change my EAP610 name when using the mobile app in standalone mode. The setting screen has option to change the device name.

The issue still remains tho, as my DHCP still receives the name as EAP<model>-<MAC>
