Login dialog does not remember credentials

Although the log in page offers an option to stay logged in, this does not work on any of my machines (iOS, windows 7, 10 & 11).
Would be nice to fix.

@MvdB Works perfectly well for me, credentials available in Firefox, Chrome & Safari browsers on an iMac and Android on my phone. Down to browser settings

Perhaps there is an issue in my account then?
Just checked on a fresh new PC, never used before.
Google Chrome login (with "remember me" checked), close window, open again: not logged in.
MS Edge login (with "remember me" checked), close window, open again: not logged in.
Same holds for mobile phone (iOS).
Browsers are all up to date.
This cannot be coincidence, right?
