Another upvote here. I use TS to access my own smart home functionality, but not having it in the router is a serious drawback, and I would also love to use it to access my relatives' TP-Link routers for remote admin.

I actually agree 100% with @Clive_A on this.

It is not reasonable or responsible for TP Link to add a third party software to their software and hardware stack.

There is a laundry list of issues with this
- The legal aspects that may come from them profiting off of another companies software

- The aspect of having another company software being a major function of their ecosystem, what happens if the values of that company change or they simply shut down but people bought Omada because of TailScale.
- Software updates no longer being compatible with Omada ecosystem in the future.
- Who is responsible if there is a data breach on Omada hardware but via TailScale.
- Everything already stated by Clive_A

WireGuard is an open source protocol that can be implemented, TailScale is a software and another companies product, use Tailscale on a server within your network, if your a business that relies on VPN then get an ISP that supports non CGNAT (Starlink Business does support public IP address).

Even Ubiquiti who I would argue is Omadas biggest competitor does not support it natively, if you wish to use it with their hardware you have to manually install it and get no direct support and void your warranty.
