Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.13.2 Build 20240110 Rel.78759

I appoligise for the new thread, I just want to be sure I am clear before ditchin this project and staying stand alone

My ER8411 router works fine in this configuration but when I try and control it with the OC200 it does not

My system is as follows

ER8411 Router with three Wans configured

Connected to a Netgear GS752TPS switch

3 Vlans

VLAN1 192.168.2.2/24

VLAN30  192.168.3.2/24

VLAN40  192.168.4.2/24

Esxi Server ver.6.7

Esxi server config is all virtual nics are Trunk Ports

There are 8 VM'S on the server all running in the subnets above

Mail Server 192.168.3.17

Web Server 192.168.4.13 and the database on that server runs in the vlan1 subnet

When I adopt the config I get the controller address of 192.168.2.2 in OC200

I can ping 192.168.2.2, 192.168.3.2 and 192.168.4.2

The main network is on 192.168.2.x/24

My Esxi server has 4 physcile nics but they are shared

I can not ping my mail server or web server

I am able to access the Internet and Vlan 1 hands out DHCP

If I check the devices connected all there are is VLAN 1 Ip addresses

The Network profiles that get created will not allow you to untag the ports I am assuming the vlan1 port controls that if I could control which ports the default used I could setup the same way I have it

I have tried setting the ports in esxi to port groups to vlan1, vlan30 and vlan 40 with no luck, Trunk (4095) is what I have always used there

My Standalone setup uses a seperate UNTAGGED port for all 3 Vlans plugged directly into my Netgear switch and all works

Any ideas here why I can not get this to connect to ESXI server, I have tried plugging the ESXI ports into the open ports of the router and using every pvid

I do not want to buy a TP-Link switch if I dont have a good out come and not even sure that would make a difference

Only one uplink can be connected because you cant change the default VLAN

I almost have the same setup as you.  Similar VMs and all.  But my controller is on an Ubuntu VM.

Are you preconfiguring the configs in the OC200 before the adoption?

yes I am pre configuring

I did think about sending the oc200 back and puting it in a vm

how is your switch configuerd

I had a Cisco switch in play, then bought a beefier TP-Link Switch.  Either way, it worked.  I would try to the VM approach.  OC200 doesn't even support DPI and it's slow as balls.

Ok tried the VM approach

I set up  the Controller software in windows as it was faster then Linux

Getting the same result,  mail server and web server are port forwarded and I cant get to them, I also have the windows controller connected to the TP Cloud  and I was able to connect to a shared folder from a vlan 1 pc to the vlan4 server I had to edit the post as I can not ping the other 3 subnets In my original test from my pc it worked but I relized I have multiple nics

I dont know what else I can do here  I think the issue is with the setup between The controller controlled router and My VM Host setup But in stand alone mode it works

Well If I want this to work I think I am going to have to spend more money and buy a Omada Smart switch I dont see anyway to apply the profiles to my exsisting switch

I seem to be collecting TP-Link equipment I have 3 ER7206 Routers I used to use for my setup which handled 3 wans and lans

Then I bought the 8411 to cut down on equpment, I also have a Omanda AP That is why I wanted to incorperate into a single point of control.

Dont see how I can without buying a Omada switch My Esxi Houst has 4 physicle nics and subnets change across them I need to be able to tell those ports to use the routers profiles,

Switches im not using I wont even go into that

Hi@spd2612

Could you please try to send the screenshots of your VLAN settings, port setting on ER8411 (including PVID), and the port forwarding setting on your controller for better understanding?

Really thanks for your patience.

I am in standalone mode on the 8411 now as I have already pxxxe

off everyone from down time but the settings are still in 0C200

the switch is still running in omada

 @Hank21  @spd2612

i made a change in the managemet vlan see the screenshot

All of the port forwading takes place on VM'S on the ESXI Server I have got all the virtual nics in ESXI set to trunk ports in port groups

The Esxi server has 4 phycicle nic ports which have redundancy across the ports I also am not looking to break the intervlan routing

A note on my standalone 8411 setup, there are 4 wan ports coming in and 4 seperate lan ports going out to the switch, I cant do that in OMADA as it would cause a loop

because all the ports are checked in the default lan
