Model: EAP650-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have put our eap65--outdoor in repeater mode.

set it up to fixed ip address  on 192.168.32.254..

have to ssid's  1 one 2.4 ghz. and 1 one 5 ghz.

both ssid's I have enabled the guest option ( so isolation from public networks)>

before activating guest option I could connect to the eap650 .  after enabling guest I can't connect to eap anymore.

Wifi connections work fine.  Get ip from dhcp server from host network etc.

any way to reconnect to the eap ?? or need to reset and configure a third ssid for management purpose??

Hi @Consolidare

It is normal that the guest WiFi connection will block you from accessing the EAP management page. You should still be able to access the EAP650-Outdoor if you connect to the host network.

Please share the result with us.

  @Hank21

when connected to host network still unable to reach management interface.

when connected to host network I get an ip from dhcp in 192.168.20.x range with gateway 192.168.20.1 ( router for the host network).

I changed from dynamic ip to  static using primaire adres 192.168.20.250 gateway 192.168.20.1 and additional ip 192.168.32.250 ( since eap is on 192.168.32.254 with nog gateway).

Still I can't connect to management interface,   eap also not responding on ping to 192.168.32.254

Hope there is another option.

Hi @Consolidare

If the EAP650 is working as repeater mode, the IP of EAP should be the same as the host WiFi. But may I confirm the IP you get when connecting to EAP WiFi, is it also 192.168.20.X?

It seems that the resetting the EAP is the faster way to manage it again if you cannot get the IP 192.168.32.x from host network at this moment.

  @Hank21

Thanks again for the reply.

the eap is indeed working in repeater mode and has its ip set to 192.168.32.254

when connecting to the eap (or host network) I get an dhcp ip in 192.168.20.x.  but by adding an additional ip in 192.168.32.x I was able to connect to the eap interface before I activated the guest mode...

So after activating guest mode I am not able to connect anymore which is explainable because private network addresses are blocked.

Is it maybe possible to connect to the lan interface of the eap and get to the management interface through that connection.

otherwise I think you are right and resetting would be the best way. But then I will have to go to the location and climb into the pole where the eap is mounted ;(

Hi @Consolidare

Are you using the original passive PoE adapter to power on the EAP650-Outdoor? If so, yes you can connect to the LAN port of PoE adapter, set a static IP 192.168.32.x for your device and you will be able to get into 192.168.32.254. The IP address of the EAP is used for management purpose on layer 2.
