Model: TL-SG3428X
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.30.0 Build 20231019 Rel.60485

currently I'm using a TP-Link SG3428X Switch. I haven't changed anything, yet. No VLANs, no changes to any ports.

My Omada Controller is a LXC on Proxmox. I can see my switch there.

Now I bought a TP-Link EAP230-Wall Access Point. After plugin it to the switch, I expected it to power up.

But the Access Point is not detected by the controller. There is no Light on the device itself and the port indicator LED on the switch is also not on.

It looks like the Access Point has no power.

I tried to reset the Device (Long button push, reset button push). But no luck.

Is the Access Point broken? Did I miss something? PoE on the ports should be enabled by default.

I'm thankful for any help.

The 3428X is not a POE switch, it cannot power anything via it's switchports.  You will need to use an injector, or replace it with some thing like the 3428XMP.
