Hello team,

We are currently using Mikrotik APs with Capsman for free WiFi in the city. The advantage of the Mikrotik APs is that they only require an internet connection and can set up a VPN directly to the controller.

I was told it's called an island.

We would like to replace these APs with Omada.

The APs would have to be able to set up a VPN themselves without a router beforehand. That would be a great feature for projects like this. This means you can connect an AP to other networks and still configure it.

Are there any plans to introduce something like this?

Hi @TW_EPC

Thanks for feedback. The Omada EAP doesn't support the VPN function by itself. Thanks for your request.
