Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.

Here's my current issue:

I have two TL-SG2428Pv switches, and I'm trying to connect them using SFP port 25 on each switch.

I've connected the SFP as usual on both switches, but the port remains down with no indication of a connection between them.

I've tried changing the mode on both switches to Full, but that hasn't resolved the problem.

I've checked the fiber patch cords with the SFPs, and they all seem to be in good condition.

Does anyone know why the port isn't functioning? Is there something else I need to do?

 

I also tries the other ports 26/27/28 with the same problem.

so please help.

Hi @AlexisDali 

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Recommend you use TP-Link SFP modules for our switches. If you are using a third-party SFP module, we are not able to guarantee they work okay on our switches.

So the SFP module that I use is: CISCO:GLC-LH-SMD Z10-2625-01 CISCO.

 

If I use this module for example: 1000Base-BX WDM Bi-Directional SFP Module.  is it ok..?

Can you specify the model number for me? That would be helpful for me.

If you are picking up a TP-Link one, that would work but you gotta make sure it fits your optical cable.

Having the same issue and i am using TP LINK SFPs at both ends, still no connection.   SFPs work on other makes (HP to HP)  

 

Any ideas?
