Adding additional APs to EAP610 V2 environment
I have 2 x EAP245 and 1 x EAP610 V2.0 on my network.
I am looking to replace the EAP245 APs with 2 x EAP610 or EAP613 so I can upgrade my whole wireless network to WiFi 6
However, I see mixed information about the difference between the EAP610 / EAP613 APs. The key difference appears to be the lack of a power cord with the EAP613 (which is fine as I use PoE) but I have seen another post showing a few different things - What is the difference between EAP613 and EAP610 (indoor ceiling mount ver)
This post shows the following:
- Stats on OC200 are different (more detailed stats provided with EAP 610)
- EAP613 can support 250+ concurrent clients but there is no number provided for the EAP610 - as shown Compare Product: EAP610 vs EAP613 (1-pack)
Is there a different chipset used on these units?
@Fae any chance you can weigh in here as an authoritative source from TP-Link?
Thanks!
