How to adopt remote router
Hi,
I am new.
I have an OC300, joined to Omada Cloud. I can access my controller just fine via Omada cloud. I have a client in a different country (I have remote access to their computers) - I logged into their ER605 to join it to my controller. It needs an Inform URL.. Where do I find this?
I want to be able to manage remote routers/switches/eap's from my central controller in the UK. Customer is currently in Portugul.Obviosuly, the cusotmer ha sourchased the router in their country so it will never be and has not been on the local network with my controller.
Port Forwaring/NAT is no issue if I need to open ports.
With Unifi, I could have a device anywhere in the world and manage it via my On-Premise controller - this is my aim with my OC300.
Thanks a million.

you need to port forward these ports into the controller
UDP 29810
TCP 29811-29816
inform url is the ip on the firewall where the controller is.

Please follow this guide to set it up.
Please open those ports for the controller. The ports set in the article are not for the latest controller.
UDP 29810, TCP 29811-29816

Thanks for the replies guys.
Just one more thing, If I adopt A Device onsite with the controller.. and then take that device offsite - I presume I'll need to change the inform URL
?
Thanks

Has the Omada controller's IP address changed? If not, there is no need to update the infrom URL; the inform URL allows the controller to locate the router.

yes, it is fine to use the dns address, I use this myself on a setup with dynamic IP where the controller is.
