Hey all,

 

I would like to disable the WEB interface from showing up only when using my public IP access. I've tested this outside of my LAN network and I am still presented with my router's login page. 

 

Omada controller version: 5.14.20.9 (windows software version not device)

Hi  @itsmydayoff 

 

You can configure a [WAN]IN Gateway ACL to block the access. Details as below:

Hi  @itsmydayoff 

 

Why would you want this? Even if the page shows up, we still need to input the correct credentials to log in to the page.

router login is NOT available from the internet, when you test you are on LAN not WAN. try testing from WAN

Although my password is strong, I'm uncomfortable with my router's login UI being the first thing displayed when entering my public IP address. 

 

I'm sure TP-link is solid, but when dealing with consumer/prosumer-grade equipment and the potential for user errors, I would like to be more cautious about what I expose to the WAN.  

 

I have a home lab where I'm testing things, and things break. I would rather my mistake stay isolated when I'm configuring ports.

Worked perfectly!! Now it's only viewable on my LAN, not the WAN. The page that comes up when entering my public IP is, "Connection timed out," which works for me. Thank you!
