As of now, it is useless. Thus, it is not used for any functionality. It might be utilized for configuration or other uses in the future.

  @Pista24 Would be nice if they enable it and allow applications like home assistant to use Omada as a bluetooth proxy:

Could enable the use of bluetooth beacons and other cool things that BLE enables
