Omada Software Controller or Hardware Controller?

When do you expect to have the new firmware upgrade for Festa to show wired connections?

Thanks,

JJ

Hi  @JJRi

It's hard to say. I can't give an ETA.

Both software controller standard and hardware controller will work.

  @Vincent-TP Is this a joke? How can a production targeting small businesses lack this function with no plans to support it? Have you even discussed it with the development team? This is ridiculous.

Please escalate this. This is BASIC functionality. There is no documentation warning prospective buyers that this is currently broken. This should never have been released without this functionality. Especially for a managed product; that is also adverted for business use. Is there still yet no word on this? Going on more than a year. I also realize this may not be your ball to deal with but could you pass it urgently to whom ever may be responsible? Thank you for your patience in dealing with myself and on behalf of everyone else as well (Unless they are rude.)

It is now more than a year and still no ETA? Can I return my router as one of its main functionalities is broken?

I just purchased the FR205 and F61. I've been pulling my hair out because I couldn't possibly believe that a router couldn't show connected clients and yet here we are. I'm seriously considering returning both of these given how long this thread has been going on. How in the world could they let this out the door? And their answer is purchase additional equipment? That's like selling a car and telling the buyer that if they want to see more than just their speed and fuel, they'll need to purchase an upgrade. Bad business and lazy.

It's honestly unacceptable that this issue still hasn't been addressed. I'm going to try returning my device and will be leaving a review to warn others — this router, when purchased on its own, is simply not ready for production use.

  @HeyYoVio

I am using Festa Controller_B3C249 to manage my Festa FR365 v1.0 using version 1.1.3 firmware.

I am not able to see any wired ip addresses of clients.  i'm truly at a loss for how this feature isn't enabled, particularly to ensure dhcp reservations.

I'd love to know when this will become availabe (you mentioned it is on the roadmap as of last year).

Thanks.

I have the same issue with the Festa FR365 gateway. Wired clients do not show up in the could controller. @Vincent-TP when is this going to be fixed?

  @Mr_Orange

We don't get advanced notice of when or whether there will be new firmware updates to allow Festa Gateways to display the clients, since I am not in software development, I can't give you a clear answer. I suggest you keep an eye on the official website for any new firmware updates if there would be any.

  @Vincent-TP - please don't gas light us. This thread was opened over 11 months ago!

You may not be in software development but you are able to speak to them, surely? Ask them if this has even been logged as bug, whether it is being worked on and what the time frame is.

It's pretty poor show from TP-Link that there seems to be some very basic functionality that is not working properly across the range of Festa devices. It's especially surprising, given that most, if not all, the hardware is shared with the Omada range so the firmware would work identically, just with a reduced feature set.
