Odido ISP Ont 1,2.5,5/10g out to ER707-M2 Wan
er707-m2 Wan 2,5Ghz cat6e rj45
                 Wan/Lan2 cat6e rj45 to sg3428x sfp port1/25
sfp port1/25 sfp+ module to rj45 speeds : 1, 2.5, 5, 10g to ER707-M2 2,5ghz Wan/Lan2
sfp port2/26 gaming pc/video intel x520-m2
sfp port3/27 truenas server. intel x520-m2

PC and server the x520-m2 intel 10g sfp+

problems

When connected :
er707-m2 wan in by isp ont on 2,5ghz wan
port 2 wan/lan er707-m2 by rj45 cat.6e to sfp+ module with all the speed up to 10g. on the switch that one also shows as 10g and by normal lan cable i get the max the lan can handle at 940/950mb max. But SPF i get at start 2,1/2,3gb/s download. BUT just 480-500mb download.

After reboot server or windows. sfp go to 1g, try change port on switch it says no no. check ports with module what works on 10g. i places my server or system on that port 10g shows up but at so slow speeds.....
nothing set by lans, all default network, no rules nothing.

i looked with drivers and more, but direct set the sfp cable between my server en system 10g data no problems runs perfect. booth ways.
so i dont know anymore

would like a solution for this

Hi @JurriaanRowaan

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

You should refer to the installation guide of the modules.

The SFP+ installation on the module guide or the switch has clearly marked that you should not use them at the same time if it is RJ45 SFP+.

On the Accessories page.

In addition, ER707-M2 cannot negotiate to 10Gbps. Its hardware does not support 10Gbps. If you set it to 10Gbps, you might experience a problem.

About your problem description in the speed, I don't understand your description and find the information scattered much if you have make it easier and clearer to read.

  @Clive_A

Thanks for that explanation.

i make it easyer. i have a sfp+ module that can run all 1, 2.5, 5 and 10g lan rj46 cat.6e option.
so my er707-m2 sends 2,5ghz on wan/lan2 by cat 6e to a sfp+ module that auto translate between the speeds.

the problem is again explained
ISP ONT 1, 2.5, 5 and 10ghz out. RJ45

With or without ISP modem : 2,5ghz out

By Lan :
er707-m2 wan in-> wan/lan2 out--> sfp+ module on sg3428x port25/sfp1.
sg3428x port1(1g) rj45 to rj451gpc/server Down and Up ... maxing out cat 6e at 940/950

By SFP+ :

er707-m2 wan in-> wan/lan2 out--> sfp+ module on sg3428x port25/sfp1.
sg3428x port 28/Sfp4 (10g) (Cable 10g SFP+ Om3 Aoc  --> SFP+ 10g.

pc/server Intel x520-da2 Dual 10g SFP+  Download 1900/2300, Upload 500/600mb
PC/Server toggle's between 1g and 10g when reboot.

Server always come's back to 10g.

PC go 1g or 10g. With reboot its 1g, With fresh start 10g
Server and pc same card same cable.

Same cable. between server and pc. manual set 10g works perfect.
So i dont get it. nothing by rules, nothing by protocols.
Really dont know what now
