Wifi 6e keeps getting hidden
Hi all,
I have mada a wifi network for 6ghz only in the omada controller.
I can connect to the network with my mobile phone(S23 Ultra) for at least a couple of hours.
But the next day the network is not there anymore.
When i use a wifi analyzer, it seems the network is there but its hidden.
Does somebody know why the 6ghz network keeps getting hidden the next day?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Ash506
The SSID can be scanned indicates that the EAP is still broadcasting the wifi signal.
Please try the followng:
1. Give the wifi a fixed channel;
2. Check via other 6G supported clients if possible;
3. Check the mobile phone settings
- It's possible that there was a change in the mobile phone's (S23 Ultra) Wi - Fi settings. Some phones have an option to "forget" or "ignore" a network after a certain period of inactivity. Check your phone's Wi - Fi settings to see if the 6GHz network has been removed from the list of known networks.
- Try to manually add the network again. Enter the SSID and security credentials (password) as you did when you first connected.
4. Delete the SSID and create again.

Hi, @Vincent-TP
When scanning with a wifi analyzer the SSID can not be seen.
It only show as "HiddenSSID"
I am assuming this is my network because i set it to fixed channel 37 and i am also at 1meter distance from the accespoint..
I already tried several fixed channels, PSC channels as non PSC channels.
Like i said, this works for 1 day and then the network is not visible anymore.
Also when disabling and enabling the 6ghz network works for 1 day.
I have now removed and created the 6ghz network again.
When toggling the wifi my phone directly connects with the 6ghz network, what proofs that the settings are ok and the wifi network was not forgotten by the phone.
On the pictures you can see the wifi analyzer when the network is not visible (2nd picture) and a picture with the network visible (1st picture) after recreating the 6ghz network.
Lets see for how long this works.
Thanks so far.

Hi @Ash506
Thanks for your clarification.
Do you have any other 6Ghz supported wireless clients? Will the SSID be visible on that device when the issue happens?
To know more information, when next time the SSID disappears, please go to the following page of the controller, run the command iwconfig, and show us the result:

Hi @Vincent-TP,
Yesterday it worked for 5 minutes.
I went to the second floor and when i was back the network was gone.
Looks like when nothing is connected to the 6ghz network the network disappears.
