EAP650 after firmware upgrade always asking for 'omada'
Today I upgraded firmware from 1.0.15 to 1.1.0. Since this upgrade the device is always (every 13 seconds) asking for 'omada'.
I don't use contoller for it. How can I prevent the device to ask nameserver for 'omada'?

Hi @schultze
Thanks for the screenshot.
This is because the new firmware 1.1.0 has added the function of DNS adoption. This function is used for the controller to discover controller/EAP across layer 3.
Currently, EAP will send this request by default and this can't be turned off.
We have feedback to the R&D team to add a button to disable it.

Hi, yes, we can use this device without an Omada controller.
Can you share a screenshot of the page so we could know the issue clearer?

Hi Vincent,
that irritates me. Sure, I can use this device without controller. It is still working properly.
The only thing, what I noticed, is, that the device is always asking my DNS for 'omada' since the upgrade to firmware 1.1.0.
Before there were no such traffic.
My question is, can I stop this asking with any change in configuration? Or should I better downgrade the firmware?
What screenshot do you mean? Web-GUI? Which page?
Thanks,
schultze

Hi @schultze
Sorry, it was a typo.
EAP can work without an Omada controller.
I want to know, how/where did you see/notice that the device is always asking my DNS for 'omada' .
I believe a picture or screenshot will help me to understand better. Thanks.
