SM5310-T ver 1.2 Problem with speed
Hi everyone,
I use two modules SM5310-T v 1.2 with two indentical omada switch SG3428XMP v3.20. between module and patchpanel CAT 6 UTP 0,25m cable, lenght of CAT6A FTP cable 40meters. Same on both side. After some time o cannot acces to my controler thru this line. When i try internet speed it is only 1Mbit/s (standart 250Mbit/s). When i try to connect to OC200 directly speed and everything is ok? I dont know if I something wrong setup? Or where can be a problem?
UPDATE: It looks there is problem between two modules. If I do not use module on one side and put patch kabel tu trunk port 24 on switch it is working without problem.
Anyone help please?
Thanks for answer

Hi @kubajzs197
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Two modules? Hardware version?
Manually set a link speed to the port as 10Gbps if that's how you configure your switch.

Switch both
Modules are versions 1.2 - same type on both sides. Switch configured 10Gb/s on SFP+ ports. Somewhere is the problem i try uplink with the metalic cable thru RJ45 ports and it is much better then with the SM5310-T in SFP+ ports.
I try also diffrent switch with SFP+ ports but same result.... slow speed, cannot log into OC200.
Thanks

40-meter cable, did you use the same wire to test on the OC200?
Did you test with a 1-meter to rule out the hardware issues?

Hi, between the rack position I have 3 cables FTP CAT 6A. I tried all and same result. But now I have this configuration: In main RACK1 I use the SM5310-T in SFP+ port. In second RACK2 I don´t. In second RACK2 is uplink in RJ45 and everything works fine. So I think the problem is in communication between two module SM5310-T or configuration?
Working solution on R1 switch SFP+ module and uplink to R2 RJ45
Solution with SFP+ on both sides, but working only limited time. But R2_POE_SWITCH detect 10Gbps FDX

Strange enough. If you set them separately 24 and 26?
10Gbps is hot and it can get overheated which affects the speed.
Do you have a firmware update recently on two switches?

Yes both switches have same firmware.
And Yes on both red arrows are SM5310-T. I understand 10Gbps is heating, but now there are not apllication or traffic for 10Gbps I just testing network. Now we use only internet connection. In room where is the RACK1 is 15° celsius in room wher is the RACK2 is 20° celsius.
Where can i find temperature of SM5310-T? I found only temperature of switch and CPU data etc.
Thanks

with this configuration internet speed dump to 10Mbps in 3 minutes after use the SFP+ on both side. :(

CLI mode and output the SFP.
See the User Guide of the CLI and it applies to the switch under the controller.
This problem only occurs with the Internet speed? Speedtest.net?
If you iperf from the two mentioned switches, will they get full gigabit?
Make another test, move the PC on R1 to the router, LAN, result? Please provide screenshots.

If I connect PC to R1 SWITCH everything works fine (internet access (200Mbps, OC200, etc.) but if I connect PC to R2 Switch and try speedtest.net (speed is 0,7Mbps) or connect to OC200 (local) speed is slow and get answer request timeout.

Iperf tests locally. I want to learn if you can get a local speed up to Gigabit to verify if there is a link issue.
Everything so far looks proper.
What's the firmware version of both switches? Seem that 3.30.2 has been pulled off from the server. Did you upgrade to this version recently? Try to revert to its previous firmware and see if there is an improvement.
Anything wrong with in the log?
