Hi,

We are planning to install CCTV along the perimeter of our Society. At the center we are planning to install a centralized monitoring system. The maximum distance between RX and TX is about 1.2km. Two questions i have

  1. Is it possible to connect CPE 510 with CPE 710. With710, i am assuming for 360 degree coverage i need less CPE at RX
  2. How many CPE are needed at the center. Either 510 or 710.

Thanks

Sri

Hi  @Srinivas127

Is it possible to connect CPE 510 with CPE 710. With710

>>>Yes

How many CPE are needed at the center. Either 510 or 710.

>>> To work as the access point, I will recommend CPE510, cause it has a wider wifi range.

The CPE710 is more for point-to-point, and its Antenna Beamwidth is 9° (Azimuth)/7° (Elevation), which is very limited for wifi coverage.

To cover 360 degrees, you may need 3-4 pieces of CPE510.

This is the datasheet of CPE products, you can have a look.
